Ornaments

This collection features three dimensional printed vases inspired by Indigenous South African cultural forms. The works are based on reimagined calabashes, traditionally used as vessels for holding and serving traditional beer, now transformed into sculptural objects for contemporary living spaces.
Each vase incorporates cultural symbols, patterns and visual systems associated with specific Indigenous groups. These markings are treated as carriers of knowledge, not decoration, translating ancestral language into contemporary design through digital fabrication.
This collection connects African design heritage, sustainable production and contemporary sculptural form.
